Sea Tea Improv

Sea Tea Improv is Hartford’s premier professional improv company. They burst onto the scene in April of 2009 and have since expanded (twice!) to become a powerhouse team of 14! The troupe members have been professionally trained by Hartford Stage, ImprovBoston and The Upright Citizens Brigade. Sea Tea Improv performs both short form and longform shows on a regular basis in addition to teaching classes to students of all ages and performing corporate training to better communication skills in the workplace. They have performed all over Connecticut and throughout New England and New York. They are the reigning champions of the CT Improv Cage Match, and three-time winners at the UCB Indie Cage Match in New York City. They have performed at improv festivals in Boston, NYC, Providence, Baltimore and Portland.Sea Tea Improv is excited to bring our Sex and the Sea Tea show to the festival circuit. In this format we are inspired by your stories of dating and romance, the more cringeworthy the better! We will interview audience volunteers to get the juiciest details of what went right, or wrong in your love life. We turn your tales of love, lust or yuck into a set of hilarious scenes. You’ll laugh, you’ll blush, you’ll need another drink and it will all be amazing!
