Sea Tea Improv
Sea Tea Improv officially burst onto the comedy scene on April Fool’s Day, 2009, and hasn’t sat down since. The troupe of ten players, professionally trained by Hartford Stage Company and the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, dazzles Hartford and beyond on a regular basis with their witty, raucous interpretations of audience suggestions. Besides our monthly packed houses at City Steam Brewery’s Brew Ha Ha Comedy Club, Sea Tea Improv performs anywhere and everywhere, from illustrious locations such as the Funny Bone, the Wadsworth Atheneum, the Connecticut Forum, the Mark Twain House & Museum, and the Science Center’s Liquid Lounge; to fabulous theaters including the Hartford Stage and Playhouse on Park. We’ve done adults-only shows and family shows for First Night, The Connecticut Children’s Hospital, and the Hartford Children’s Theatre. Sea Tea was an official selection of the Providence Improv Festival and has been featured on WNPR’s Colin McEnroe Show, ESPN, Better Connecticut, Mass Appeal, and Connecticut Style. Sea Tea Improv was also featured on the front page of the Arts section of The Hartford Courant.
